I wrote this post back in June of this year. God is moving and making changes that I dreamed of but thought would never be possible…
This morning I have a meeting with someone who has a lot of influence in my field. He’s also someone I trust and I’m so blessed to call my friend, but we have some heavy things to discuss and I’m a little nervous. I believe I’m going into a season of change and I desperately need God’s wisdom going forward.
Cue my Prayer Team. Actually, they’re not MY prayer team, we are each other’s team. This morning I posted a request for prayer and before I could close the app I had three responses.
These ladies are SERIOUS about prayer and it’s power. We’ve seen hearts (and bodies) healed, people come to Christ, crises averted, etc. etc, etc when we lift each other up in prayer. I’m so blessed to have these ladies surround me when things are falling apart, and when things are coming together. God hears them because they’re serious. They truly trust Him!
Scripture tells us that “the prayers of a righteous person are powerful and effective”. -James 5:16
If you’re struggling with something hard, or celebrating something wonderful, or if you’re just ‘having a day’, I encourage you to go someplace quiet, put on some worship music, open your Bible and PRAY…fervently, expectantly, and with all your heart. Give Him your everything and then step back and let Him move. He loves you more than life itself and He WILL hear you.
When I teach the kids about prayer, I remind them that He always answers. Sometimes He says yes, sometimes He says no, and sometimes He tells us to wait, but He always answers.
Whatever you’re experiencing right now, go find time to get away and sit at His feet. Give Him your heart and your hot mess and then stand back and watch what happens next, because when His children call out to Him…He ALWAYS answers!!!
