Mikki Christopher is the Early Childhood Pastor at Faith Assembly of God, where she oversees a division of Faith Kids. She’s been in ministry full-time for more than twenty years, in churches ranging in size from less than 100 attendees to a congregation of thousands of members.
One of Mikki’s core beliefs is that kids’ ministry is NOT glorified babysitting (Matthew 19:14 anyone?). Children are as integral and important to the health and growth of the church as any other division, and Mikki works to ensure the kids in her ministries know that they are valued in the body of Christ just as highly as their parents.
Mikki knows well how to take a tiny budget and make it stretch as far as it will go. Because of this, she knows how many other children’s pastors need free and affordable resources to make their ministry as high quality as possible, and knows where to send you to find them (some of them are right here!). She knows also that, no matter how large or small your ministry is, you need a reliable and dedicated team to help make it the best it can be. Even Jesus needed a team to help spread his message! Recruiting, training, and retaining volunteers is one of Mikki’s specialties.
Mikki fully believes that just being “good with kids” is not enough to be an effective children’s minister, and one night not too long ago, she heard the Lord calling her to share the ideas, resources, and inspiration He’s given her over the years with other leaders who need the same help.
